Have you ever searched for a dessert that perfectly marries sweetness with a hint of nostalgia? The Pear and Custard Pecan Crumble is that delightful answer. My husband loves pears and makes me make the same old pear cake year after year. On a mission to find a new pear recipe to shake things up a bit a few years back, I stumbled upon this recipe, and it instantly won my heart and my husbands. Today, it has become a beloved staple in my home and, more importantly, it holds a cherished spot in my recipe collection.

Pear and Custard Pecan Crumble - A taste that evokes warmth & comfort
Every spoonful of this wholesome dessert oozes warmth and comfort. What makes this dessert truly unforgettable is how the flavours come together. Imagine soft ripe pears baked in a custard within the crumble that release all of those sweet juices into the custard ... And I just thought to myself it would be totally remiss of me not to share really ... A girl's got to be able to live with herself at the end of the day. When my husband tried this for the first time, for a full 30 seconds there were no words, just happy hmmm sounds.

When you take a bite, the combination of the buttery pecans, gooey custard, and tender fruit is pure bliss. It's the essence of comfort food, perfect for a gathering or a quiet night in.

Evenly sprinkle with the crumble topping.
Put the crumble into the oven and bake for around 30 to 40 minutes
Cover the top of pie with foil if needed during baking to prevent excessive browning if necessary
